TYCA was created by two adults who viewed their local Office Depot and Staples stores as their very own playground. They would spend hours browsing the pen and pencil aisles, oohhh-ing and ahhh-ing over the variety packs different colored pens or exchanging opinions on what types of pens had the best ink delivery tips.
