The Lyra Splender colorless blending pencil is used for burnishing and blending colored wax or watercolor pencil drawings (used dry). The Splender blends & burnishes to a sheen which has the effect of saturating colors, creating a dense glossy surface. Further colors can be layered over the burnished surface.
